Fire Permits are not required in Taroona (Council By-laws still apply)

Fires may be lit during non-permit periods on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday between 10:00AM and must be extinguished by 4:00PM

HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES BY-LAW
BY-LAW 4 OF 2001

PLEASE NOTE: 1 PENALTY UNIT EQUALS $100

Barbecues not incinerators
1 __ (1) Barbecues which are being used to cook food are not
treated as an incinerator for the purposes of this by-law.

2 __ (1) Within any residential zone as defined in a planning
scheme applicable to the municipal area, a person may only light an
incinerator or open air fire, or allow an incinerator or open air fire to be lit
or remain alight, on days in a non-fire ban or non-fire permit period
between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays or
Saturdays.
Penalty: 2 penalty units
